Steve is one of the three founding partners of Gadsden Schneider & Woodward LLP.  Until February 1, 2001 he was a partner in the Personal and Fiduciary Law department of Philadelphia-based Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, which he joined as an associate in 1983 after having practiced with the law firm of Mayer Brown & Platt in Chicago, Illinois.  Steve received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College.

His practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning for wealthy individuals, as well as estate and trust administration. Steve is a co-author of the revised edition of the late Philip Bregy’s treatise on Selected Sections of the Pennsylvania Probate, Estates & Fiduciaries Code, a 700-page text on the Pennsylvania statutes with respect to wills, intestacy, decedents’ estates and related matters and of Pennsylvania Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code Annotated, a reference book widely used by Pennsylvania trust and estate lawyers.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission Advisory Committee on Decedents’ Estates Laws.
